Career, life & transition coaching

The guide I wish I'd had before I left corporate.

For managers and technical leaders who are good at their jobs, doing fine on paper, and deciding what the next chapter should be: a bigger role, a different company, or a different kind of life.

Does this sound familiar?

None of that means something is wrong with you. It usually means you're ready to decide what comes next, on purpose, while you still have the most options.

Moves we can work through

Going for the promotion
Making the step from senior manager to director: building the case, getting sponsors, and starting to operate at the next level before the title arrives.
Switching firms
Deciding whether to stay or go, telling your story to a new company, and landing well in a new culture.
Changing course
A new role, a new field, or work that fits who you are now.
Stepping back
Planning a sabbatical or retirement so it's a deliberate choice, not an escape.

What working together looks like

It's called coaching, but it blends three things.

Coaching

Space to think. You lead; we work on identity, meaning, energy, and what's next.

Mentoring

Two decades inside a large tech company. Reorgs, politics, and how to read the room.

Curated reading

The ideas worth your time, distilled. Arthur Brooks, Oliver Burkeman, Designing Your Life, and more.

How it works

Engagement
A defined 3- or 6-month arc, with the option to continue month to month afterward.
Sessions
Two 60-minute sessions a month, on video or in person.
Walk and talk
In Fort Collins, we can meet on a trail instead of a screen.
In between
Light email check-ins and reading picked for where you are.
First step
A free 30-minute intro call to see whether we're a fit.

About Chris

Chris Brown

I spent nearly twenty years at HP and HPE as a technologist and manager leading transformations, operations, product development and design across SaaS, Cloud, and HPC. I've sat in the seat you're in, and I've watched a lot of good people stay stuck longer than they wanted to.

I started Always with Intent to help them, and you, make the next move deliberately. More about me.

Start with a conversation.

Thirty minutes, no pitch. Tell me where you are, and we'll see whether coaching is the right next step.
